The Directory of 'What Works'

Local, quality services to support a child or young person

The Directory of ‘What Works’ is a co-ordinated directory of services, which are quality assured and based on child-led outcomes. It provides a simplified process for practitioners to identify early intervention resources and relevant services for children and young people.

How to find relevant interventions according to need

Use our assessment tool to create a tailored short-list of recommended services. The assessment tool will guide you through a series of questions before presenting you with recommended services that you can easily email or print for the young person, parent or carer. You can either complete this independently, or with the child or young person you are supporting.

Alternatively you can follow this link to the directory where you can search for services directly.

The Directory of 'What Works' is in a test phase with a limited number of accredited services currently in the directory. For more information and to be kept updated about the development of the directory please email: dww@socialfinance.org.uk. You can find more information about the offer in Cheshire West and Cheshire through Livewell.
